Raysa Cornielle, BA. Career Readiness Director

Raysa Cornielle (She/Her) is a Career Readiness Director at PowerTools. Raysa supports the members of NYC BlocPower Civilian Climate Corps in developing and expanding their professional skills in the work field. Raysa takes a direct approach to her achieve her mission of broadening members’ perspectives and helping them gain self awareness that will enhance their social skills in professional and personal settings.

Raysa has experience working with many diverse personalities as well as creating and facilitating program for individuals of all ages. Raysa’s personal professional development began during her time in State University of New York at Albany where she joined the sorority Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. During her time there, Raysa created and facilitated community service initiatives, events, and programs for the student body and the Albany community. Raysa continued her professional development through her work in the child welfare system where she worked to reunite families through extensive and careful procedures. During her time in the foster care system, Raysa remained in touch with all the lawyers, psychiatrists, schools, doctors, and other service provided for each case in order to provide the big picture of each case to the courts of New York. 

During her personal time, Raysa continues to work on self development by reading books and articles that she can implement in her daily life. Raysa enjoys interacting and learning from everyone she can in order to continue to grow and expand her mindset.
