Kerry Odom, M.A. Educational Program Specialist

 
 

Kerry Odom (she/her), Education Program Specialist at PowerTools, is a veteran educator, counselor, and youth development consultant has worked for over a decade in both schools and community based organizations to support youth voice, student engagement, social-emotional learning and organizational best practices. Kerry works directly with youth and also works with adults to build their capacity to build best practices that foster success for young people. 

At PowerTools, Kerry provides a wide range of social-emotional supports and resources to adult students enrolled in NYC’s Tech Talent Pipeline Web Development bootcamps such General Assembly and Flatiron School. These accelerated programs enlist under-resourced participants in a 19-week tech bootcamp, after which they become fullstack developers ready for work.

Kerry's expertise includes case management, capacity building, curriculum development, facilitation, social supports and resource allocation, youth development and program model development. Kerry holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and two Masters of Arts degrees from NYU in Education and School Counseling.
